Biography

My dedication to working families is rooted in the values I learned around my family dinner table.
My desire to serve others was cultivated by hands-on experience in education and community involvement.
As Communications Director for the Dundee Community Schools, I devoted myself to empowering teachers to provide students with the tools they need to secure good-paying jobs and succeed in the workforce.
I never have hesitated to tackle the tough issues. In fact, I even took on the daunting task of serving as construction manager of the recently completed Dundee High School and played a pivotal role in overseeing associated work performed under the same bond proposal. I always have found fresh and innovative ways to get the job done.
A lifelong resident of Monroe County, I am a former Coordinator of the local United Way, President of the Dundee PTA, and Member of the Kiwanis Board.
I have the passion to fight for working families. In addition to my commitment to quality schools, I want to drive down the cost of prescription drugs and health care; protect and create good-paying jobs; and, keep Canadian and out-of-state trash out of Michigan.
As your State Representative from the 55th House District, I will work hard to serve you and to represent you in the Michigan House of Representatives.
